Our full-service container depot is located in the heart of the Port of Tacoma on the Blair Waterway. This convenient location is close to all terminals which makes it ideal for container leasing companies.
Depot Solutions for Optimal Container Management: Maintenance, Repairs, and Efficient Logistics
At Tahoma Global Logistics, our Gate Estimating Services offer efficient and secure handling so that every container arriving at our depot undergoes a thorough inspection, all while minimizing truck turnaround times.
In addition to standard inspections, we also offer IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) inspections, the highest standard in the industry, which ensures containers meet rigorous criteria for repair, compliance and stringent ISO measurements for global transport.
In order to meet the requirement of certifying shipping containers for export, our qualified personnel will take care of managing the CSC (Container Safety Convention) plate requirements.
Chassis Depot
Our Chassis Depot, located at 2102 Alexander Ave E, spans approximately 12 acres and is divided into four zones. Zones 1 and 3 are dedicated to Tesla Storage, which is self-managed and overseen by our TGL gate team.
Zone 2 is the primary Chassis Depot for FlexiVan Leasing, our main tenant at this site. FlexiVan Leasing, the second-largest chassis Intermodal Equipment Provider (IEP) in the country, boasts the most advanced chassis fleet equipped with GPS, LED, and RADIAL components.
Currently, FlexiVan has around 400 chassis on site, with a capacity to accommodate up to 1500 chassis when needed. Our facility includes a 40k Hyundai Forklift, a 21k Yale Forklift, and two Ottawa Hostlers for efficient equipment movement.
Zone 4 is open for potential clients.
NO TWIC or RFID REQUIRED!
A great time saving benefit of our container depot is that we're located on sovereign land, which means that no TWIC or RFID is needed to access our facilities. This is a major advantage for our customers, as it streamlines the shipping process and eliminates the need for additional security measures.
